- Paediatric Emergency Registrar position:
- 12 months of paediatrics - required
- APLS course completion - desirable
- Paediatric Emergency Fellow position:
- Senior PEM trainee within 12 months of completing Fellowship with either FACEM or RACP - required
- APLS course instructor - desirable

Roster and on-call
- Registrars provide a 24 hour cover -comprising days/evenings/nights
- Overnight Registrars supervise an HMO
- Fellows also participate in 24 hour cover
Role
- Northern Hospital Paediatric ED can offer:
- A diverse and interesting case load
- PEM specialist cover 7 days/week onsite 0800 - 2330 hrs and on-call
- Inpatient paediatric service, with potential for combined appointment (6 months in each unit)
- Highly regarded education program
- In situ simulation program

Education and Teaching
- Paid, protected 4 hours of teaching each week
- Shared M&M with inpatient team
- In situ simulation program
- 1 hour paid time each week for audits, self-directed learning, project work
Pay
- As per current AMA Victorian Doctors in Training Awar
- Fellows are eligible for an above-award hourly rate (commensurate with experience), and extra paid non-clinical time, but also participate in 24 hour cover.
Accessibility
- Northern Hospital (Epping) is located approx. 21 km directly north from Melbourne CBD (30 - 45 min drive)
- Located opposite Epping Plaza Shopping Centre and next to Costco
- Epping train station is 1.5 km away (20 min walk) with buses running regularly between the station and the shopping centre
- Paid staff parking is available on-site at Northern Hospital
